Alex Watkins has been named an admissions representative at Olivet College, according to an announcement by Larry Vallar, vice president for enrollment management. He is responsible for recruiting prospective students to Olivet.

Watkins previously served as an account executive at MacDonald Broadcasting Co. in Lansing, where he was responsible for helping local businesses reach their objectives through advertising and marketing. He has also worked as a licensed personal banker and financial adviser, and started his own professional lawn care and landscaping business.

Watkins earned a bachelors degree in business management from Morehouse College in 2001. In 2008, he completed the Cintas Corporation Management Trainee Program.

He resides in Lansing.
