Olivet College fills vice president for student affairs vacancy
Jul 10, 2000

Further strengthening its academic vision of Education for Individual and Social Responsibility, Olivet College announced today the hiring of Dr. Tracy Jones as its vice president for student affairs and dean of students.

Dr. Jones joins Olivet College following more than a decade in the administration of higher education. Her most recent role was that of orientation and co-curricular programs director at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.

We are pleased to have Dr. Jones on board at Olivet, says the colleges president, Dr. F.J. Talley. Her extensive background in student activities, judicial affairs and co-curricular programming are an outstanding fit with the direction we are taking in providing a quality learning experience for our students.

Dr. Jones received her Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1986 and her Master of Education in 1988 from the University of Georgia. In 1998, she completed her Doctor of Philosophy from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Tracy begins her duties at Olivet College on August 1, 2000.
