Casey and Zeaiter named to Olivet College Board of Trustees

Nan Elizabeth Casey, J.D., and Janet Zeaiter have been named to the Olivet College Board of Trustees, according to an announcement by Board Chair David Hayhow. They will each serve a four-year term.

Casey is an attorney and resident of East Lansing. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1980 and to practice before the Eastern and Western Federal District Courts of Michigan in 1981. She has served on numerous boards and committees, including Ingham County Child Abuse Task Force, ELEs Place, Friend of the Court Advisory Committee, Capitol National Bank Board of Directors, Liturgical Commission of the Catholic Diocese and many others.

Casey earned a bachelors degree from Central Michigan University and a juris doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she also served as an adjunct professor. She was named to the list of Best Lawyers in America in 2009 and 2010.

Zeaiter is a commercial lines production underwriter for Markel Corporation in Richmond, Va. She also serves as a member of the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce, and is a volunteer with Junior Achievement, Christian Service International and Central Virginia Food Bank.

Zeaiter is a 2007 graduate of Olivet College, having earned a degree in Insurance and Risk Management and Marketing Management. As a student, she was selected for a highly competitive NAPSLO internship.

The Olivet College Board of Trustees pursues policies and programs in accord with the colleges academic vision of Education for Individual and Social Responsibility.
