For nearly three decades, Beth Page has been a staple for coordination of student activity within Olivet College. Recognizing her outstanding contributions to student service learning, the Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) has honored Page with MCCs Faculty Staff Community Service-Learning Award for 2000.
According to the MCC, Page was designated by her peers as the person on Olivets campus that made the most outstanding contributions in the are of community service learning during the past academic year. The award recognizes the impact Page has had in significantly enhancing Olivet College students education.
A 29-year employee of Olivet College Page has been the director of student employment for the past 16 years. Her student contact prior to that role included 13 years within the business and student financial aid offices.
Beth Page will be recognized with the MCC award at the organizations Fifth Annual Institute on Service-Learning: Deepening our knowledge and use of service learning, scheduled to be held Thursday and Friday Nov. 9 & 10, 2000 at Grand Rapids Community College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She will receive her award at a special recognition ceremony and dinner to be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000.
