Olivet College to present "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown!"

The Olivet College Performing Arts Department and Music Program will present Youre a Good Man, Charlie Brown! Thursday, April 8 through Saturday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 11 at 3 p.m. at the Oaks Theatre in downtown Olivet. The production is free and open to the public. The family-friendly show features music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and is based on the Peanuts characters created by Charles M. Schulz. It is especially suitable for children. Thursdays production is a benefit for the Olivet College Womens Board. Donations can be made at this show to support Womens Board Scholarships for Olivet students. Following the production, refreshments will be served in the lobby. Cast members include: Jeremy Adams, a senior from Novi, as Charlie Brown; John Gouba, a senior from Novi, as Linus; Mark Gouba, a junior from Novi, as Schroeder; Kayla Green, a junior from Mason, as Lucy; Emily Pieri, a sophomore from Cedarville, as Snoopy; and Amanda Roy, a senior from Howell, as Patty. The instrumental ensemble includes: alumnus Kyle Brown, bass; Ramona Kime, Ph.D., adjunct associate professor of music, piano; Kenneth Lowe, a junior from Lansing, percussion; and Jeananne Nichols, D.M.A., assistant professor of music and director of instrumental studies, flute. The production is directed by Timothy Flynn, Ph.D., Performing Arts Department chair, music program director and assistant professor of music. Kime serves as musical director.
