Olivet College faculty and staff receive service awards

Olivet College Acting President Bill Kurtz honored 16 employees with service awards during a ceremony today in the colleges Mott Auditorium. Individuals were honored based on their years of employment at Olivet.

Charles Graessle, Ph.D., of Marshall, professor of psychology and director of institutional research, was honored for 30 years of service to the college.

Employees honored for 20 years of service include Leah Knapp, D.V.M., of Marshall, professor of biology and biology program director; and Tammy Walters, of Olivet, director of conferences and housing.

Those honored for 15 years of service include Nicole Baker, of Olivet, assistant dean for academic records; Chris Heisler, of Charlotte, general services supervisor; and Cynthia Noyes, J.D., of Olivet, associate professor of sociology and anthropology.

Employees honored for 10 years of service include Suresh Acharya, of Battle Creek, Information Technology Services director; Mary Anne McMullen, of Marshall, director of special events and head womens tennis coach; and John Wilterding, of Charlotte, associate professor of biology and chemistry, and chair of the Natural and Physical Sciences Department.

Recipients of the 5-year service award include Cindy Ballard, of Bellevue, housekeeper; Diana Boatwright, of Lansing, adjunct professor of education and academic disability services coordinator; Chris Bramer, of Olivet, administrative assistant for athletics; Lance Elyea, of Marshall, grounds maintenance; Todd Hibbs, of Battle Creek, vice president for institutional advancement; Blaine Knapp, of Olivet, campus safety officer; and Larry Smith, of Bellevue, director of the African American Culture Center.
