Olivet College to present "Broadway Bound"

The Olivet College Performing Arts Department will present its first spring concert, titled “Broadway Bound,” Saturday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Oaks Theatre in downtown Olivet. The concert is free and open to the public. Under the direction of Timothy Flynn, Ph.D., Performing Arts Department chair, music program director and assistant professor of music, the Olivet College Choir, Chamber Singers and Women’s Ensemble will perform selections from “Sweeney Todd,” “Finians Rainbow,” “Miss Saigon,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Carousel” and more. Additional solos and ensembles will include selections from shows such as “Brigadoon,” “Side Show” and “West Side Story.” Featured soloists include Jeremy Adams, from Novi; Kellie Carden, a senior from Lansing; Abigail Fangboner, a senior from Lansing; Mark Gouba, a senior from Novi; Kayla Green, a senior from Mason; Emily Pieri, a senior from Cedarville; Marla Strickler, a junior from Union; and Tyler Van Syckle, a junior from Ionia.
