Aspiring athletes of all ages have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be an Olivet College Comet this summer by attending one of six athletic summer camps. Boys and girls will learn from OC’s acclaimed coaches and interact with OC’s finest athletes. Camps will take place at the Cutler Athletic Complex, unless otherwise noted. Olivet College sports summer camps are designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle, teach valuable skills and give young athletes the opportunity to be a Comet.

Olivet College Wrestling Summer Camp

June 25-27

Open to students in grades K-12, athletes will train with NCAA men’s champions, World Team members, and current college wrestlers and coaches. Olivet College Head Wrestling Coach Brandon Brissette will lead the camps; he has more than 10 years of college coaching experience and is a decorated college wrestler himself. Youth wrestlers will learn proper techniques and take part in wrestling sessions, as well as learn from guest speakers. In addition to improving their wrestling skills, campers are sure to have a fun and enjoyable experience at Olivet College.

Olivet College Tennis Camp

Mondays and Wednesdays, June 19 – Aug. 2

This camp will be held at Harper Creek High School, Battle Creek.

Partnering with Harper Creek High School, this OC camp is open to students from eighth grade through college. Players will be divided into groups based on skill level. Olivet College Head Coach Andrew Debruyn and Assistant Coach Stuart Noble, both accomplished tennis players, along with the Comet teams and Harper Creek coaching staff will serve as instructors.

Olivet College Basketball Summer Camp

June 19-22 and July 24-27

Two sessions to choose from, these camps welcome boys and girls ages 3 to 12 and will feature skill instruction, games, contests and prizes. Olivet College Men’s Basketball Associate Head Coach Justin Ingram will lead the camp with an emphasis on positive attitude.

“I grew up participating in athletic camps and always knew when I was an adult, I would give back and help kids,” said Coach Ingram. “I love being able to mentor and teach others what I’ve learned as a basketball player as well as a coach. I’ve had a lot of help getting to where I am and I hope that I can make a positive impact on someone else’s life.”

Olivet College Boys’ and Girls’ Comet Soccer Camp

July 10-13

Young soccer players, ages 3 and up, will train with Olivet College Head Women’s Soccer Coach Sarah Yancer, a champion goalkeeper with coaching experience as a college assistant coach and head coach of youth teams, as well as senior team captains.

“I enjoy working with young athletes because if you can make these types of camps not only educational, but also fun, they are more likely to stick with their sport in years to come,” said Coach Yancer. “I love how much energy and joy they bring to camp and how they just enjoy the little things that you teach them.”

Olivet College High School Boys’ Soccer Summer Camp

July 20-23

An opportunity for high school male soccer players to explore what OC has to offer academically, athletically and socially. Athletes will work with the coaching staff and Olivet’s men’s soccer team. Olivet College Head Men’s Soccer Coach Dan Montanye will lead the camps, putting his impressive talents into action, having played semi-professionally himself. Boys ages 8-14 may attend camp on July 23 for no cost.

Olivet College High School Boys’ Soccer Team Camp

July 26-29

This camp offers high school teams the opportunity to learn together from the men’s soccer coaching staff, including Coach Dan Montanye and the men’s soccer team.
