Why Olivet?

From enrollment to graduation, Olivet College is committed to your personal, academic and career success. How do we make this happen? Our highly qualified faculty and staff are committed to engaging with you, our students, throughout the learning process. While the learning that happens in the classroom is powerful and important, you also grow as an individual while you live, play and interact with your faculty and peers outside the classroom. In fact, we often form connections with students that last well beyond graduation.

College Leadership

Olivet College leaders embody the mission and values outlined by our founding fathers. We look to our leaders to ensure that the future of Olivet College is as rich as our history. Steven M. Corey, Ph.D., joined Olivet College as its 27th president in the fall of 2010. Under his leadership, the College has completely redesigned its enrollment strategy, achieving four of the five largest entering classes in college history.

History & Mission

Throughout its 170-year history, the college community has remained dedicated to the primary objectives Olivet’s founding fathers set out to achieve. The basis of Olivet’s guiding principle was established by the founders when they wrote, “We wish simply to do good to our students, by placing in their hands the means of intellectual, moral and spiritual improvement, and to teach them the divine art and science of doing good to others.”
