Matthew Brown has been named regional director of development at Olivet College, according to an announcement by BJ Hull, vice president for advancement. As a representative of the college, Brown, who began July 6, is responsible for identifying and cultivating individuals and corporations with an interest in supporting the mission of Olivet.
“We are excited to have Matt as part of our advancement team,” Hull said. “His knowledge and expertise in fundraising and development will be an asset to the college as we continue to grow and develop relationships that support Olivet’s strategic vision, Charting the Course for 2020 and Beyond.”

A resident of Lansing, Brown earned an associate’s degree from Gogebic Community College and bachelor’s degree from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario; he is currently expecting to complete a master’s degree in sports science from the United States Sports Academy in May of 2016.
