Debbie Peterson, president, business keynote speaker and career mindset strategist at Getting to Clarity, will present at Olivet College on Nov. 6 as part of the Cultivating Women Leaders Speaker Series. The series is a program of the Olivet College Women’s Leadership Institute (WLI) and is aimed at personal and professional development for high school and college students. The event is free.
The series is open to all high school students, parents, teachers, counselors or other administrators, as well as the Olivet College community. The presentation will be held in Mott Auditorium, inside the Mott Academic Building at Olivet College, 320 S. Main St., Olivet, Michigan, 49076. Registration is available at www.olivetcollege.edu/cwl.
High school students are also invited to register for a WLI Visit Event in conjunction with Peterson’s presentation. This allows students to experience a traditional campus visit shaped around the WLI, in addition to attending the Cultivating Women Leaders Speaker Series presentation.
Peterson has over 25 years of experience in the corporate setting and is also a certified trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming at the master practitioner level. Peterson has successfully worked with professionals at various stages of their career in corporations, associations and charitable organizations to accelerate professional success. She also serves on the ATHENA International board of directors and is an author, recently publishing “Clarity: The Smart Professional’s Guide to Creating Success on Your Terms.”
“I’m going to be presenting my program ‘From Frustrated to Focused: A Roadmap for Your Career,’” Peterson said. “Whether you are a current student or a prospective student who hasn’t begun your career yet, or a member of the faculty or public, you will learn tips, tools and techniques that will help you walk out the door thinking about yourself, your career and your influence over it differently. We are going to be covering the four mindset shifts that need to occur to move you from frustrated to focused, and perhaps even beyond to fulfilled.”
