There’s still time to apply for the fall semester and become part of the Class of 2020!
You’ve flipped through the viewbooks, scoured the websites and checked out social media for a hundred potential colleges. But sometimes, all it takes is a feeling to convince you that a certain place is where you belong. So no matter if Olivet College is your top choice, or just a blip on your radar, you owe it to yourself to visit campus and see.
“Oftentimes students are just unsure about what to look for in a college until they make a visit,” said Lisa Lehman, assistant vice president of admissions. “They come to campus not knowing what to expect, but once they meet our faculty and staff, tour our facilities, and learn more about all the academic programs and strong scholarship opportunities we offer, they end up looking at Olivet College through a different lens and have a great experience on campus.
“My suggestion for students who immediately decide on a large institution or perhaps one that is farther from home, is to check out all of your options. You never know until you set foot on a campus whether or not it will feel like home. And in most cases, when students visit Olivet College, they end up finding their perfect fit and immediately feel like they are part of our family.”
Campus visits are certainly nothing new, but they’re one of the most effective ways to narrow down your college choices. And a visit to Olivet College’s campus is anything but typical. Beyond just a campus tour, you can expect to meet with professors in your major the very first time you arrive. You’ll also get a chance to meet with coaches and other students, speak with staff about scholarships and financial aid, see the dorm you might soon call home, and so much more.
“Olivet College’s visit experience is second to none,” Lehman said. “Seeing our campus in photos or on the college website is great, but visiting in person is the best way to get a true feeling for all of the amazing opportunities and experiences Olivet College has to offer. We promise you won’t be disappointed!”
