Jackie Looser has been named vice president for finance and administration at Olivet College, according to an announcement by President Steven M. Corey, Ph.D. Looser is an experienced financial and operations executive who has guided complex financial, operating and strategic infrastructures for both public and private entities.
“Jackie brings years of experience and a vast knowledge of finance and administration in higher education to Olivet College,” Corey said. “I look forward to supporting her in her new role. She will truly be a valuable asset to Olivet College.”
“I am very excited to be joining the Olivet College community,” Looser said. “I look forward to moving to the beautiful state of Michigan and becoming part of the leadership team at Olivet.”
Looser previously served as vice president of finance and facilities and chief financial officer at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill. During her tenure at MacMurray, she was responsible for the management and strategic decisions for the offices of admissions, business, human resources and financial aid, as well as the physical plant and technology division. She also led the development and coordination of annual budgets, supervised payroll and employee benefits, performed all sales tax and accounting functions, and designed and implemented new processes to assure full compliance with state and federal regulations.
Prior to her position at MacMurray, Looser served as director of finance for Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (Citylink) of Illinois, where she was responsible for all finance and customer service functions. She also has experience as director of employee services and accounting facilitator for Peoria Public Schools District 150, and has served in accounting roles for Clifton Gunderson, LLP, and Menold Construction, Inc.
Looser earned an associate’s degree in accounting from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and a bachelor’s in accountancy and master’s in business administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
