Reiker Q. Dean: Oranges with Blue Cloth and Knife, oil on panel, 8”x 10”, 2018

Artwork by two Olivet College students is on display in the 2019 Michigan Collegiate Art Exhibition. Work by Mark B. Smith and Reiker Q. Dean was selected out of more than 200 pieces submitted. The exhibition also serves as a statewide competition and will award over $2,000 in prizes.

The exhibition will be on display at the Lansing Art Gallery and Education Center, 119 N. Washington Sq., Lansing, March 1-27 with a reception and awards presentation Friday, March 15, 6-8 p.m. It is free to view the work. The Lansing Art Gallery is a nonprofit arts organization in its 51st year. The goal is to encourage artistic excellence, provide networking opportunities and enhance professional capacity through the exhibit.
