The Olivet College Choir, with guest choirs from the First Congregational UCC of Charlotte and St. Mary Cathedral of Lansing, will present its annual holiday choral concert Sunday, Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. in the Olivet Congregational Church (125 College St., Olivet). The event is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Timothy Flynn, Ph.D., professor of music and Performing Arts Department chair, the choirs will perform selections from G.F. Handel’s “Messiah.” They will be accompanied by professional strings and Ramona Kime, Ph.D., associate professor of music, harpsichord.
Soloists include soprano Jeannine Scott, Ph.D., of Charlotte; Olivet College alumni tenors Jeremy Adams, of Chelsea, and Mark Gouba, of Charlotte; and alumni basses Michael Northrup, of Three Rivers, and Curtis Scott, of Charlotte. Also featured are current Olivet students, altos Shannon Turner and Katie Menzer, both juniors from Battle Creek.
