The RN to BSN program welcomes students who are interested in being a part of the Olivet College family aimed to provide a supportive environment for professional learners. It’s about more than just earning a bachelor’s degree; it’s also about being part of a community that is committed to being more and doing good.
This distinctive, relationship-based program is designed for students who have completed an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) and who currently hold licensure in the state of Michigan as a registered nurse (RN).
The RN-BSN program is designed to provide a balance of evidence-based delivery models to assure that students feel supported through their family-work-life responsibilities, while learning and earning a bachelor of science in nursing degree.
Serving Professional Nurses
The Olivet College RN-BSN program serves professional nurses returning to college in the completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. These individuals have completed their clinical nursing courses within an associate degree program and have earned their RN licensure prior to matriculating at Olivet College. Students who demonstrate completion of the first year of courses in their in their associate degree program with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and who submit a letter of recommendation are eligible to apply to enroll in any courses noted in the academic catalog as “Open to approved AND students.” These students are eligible to apply for regular admission to the RN-BSN Program after successful completion of the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination).
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Olivet College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org.) Approved by the Higher Learning Commission.
Olivet College has been approved by Michigan to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education. At this time, California is not a SARA approved state; consequently, we will not be accepting students that live in California until further notice or approval is granted.

To receive financial aid you must enroll for a minimum of six credit hours. (The standard schedule for this program includes at least six credit hours each semester.)
Documents needed to complete the FAFSA: Federal tax returns from the previous year.
