Brittany Turner ’15, DSW, is the founding director of social work at Olivet College. She creates course curriculum, aids in accreditation and teaches Olivet College learners the knowledge, skills, abilities, ethics and empathy associated with social work practice.
Dr. Turner officially joined Olivet College in 2022. She graduated from Olivet College in 2015 with a degree in psychology. She then received her master’s degree in social work in 2016 from the University of Southern Carolina and her doctorate in social work from Capella University in 2022.
Dr. Turner has experience in social work practice with adults, children, transplant, medical health, psychotherapy, case management, substance use disorders, incarcerated persons, and psychosis and personality disorder specialties.
She enjoys working at Olivet College because of the small-town family feel that makes every interaction personal and impressionable.
In her free time, she enjoys poetry, traveling, hot tea, modeling, art, time with her French bulldog, exercise, finding new vegan recipes and restaurants, and time with family.
