Geoff Henson has been a member of the Olivet College family since 2002. Previously, Henson was an intern in the sports information office at Baldwin Wallace University (BW) from May 2001 to October 2002. He earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in business administration from BW in 2001. During his time as an undergraduate, Henson worked as a student assistant in the sports information office for four years.
Henson is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He has been a member of the Academic All-America® committee since 2008. On the committee, Henson presently serves as the national coordinator for the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball/Track & Field and Cross Country teams. Before moving onto the national coordinator role, he served as a District IV coordinator for the same sports. Prior to that, Henson represented CoSIDA on both the job seeker’s and technology committees.
Most recently, Henson served as the on-site media coordinator for the 2021 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships at Forest Akers Golf Course in Lansing. In addition, he serves as a voter for the D3hoops.com Top 25 men’s basketball poll. Henson has also been a voter for numerous All-American and All-Region teams across all Division III sports. During his time at Olivet, he has served as an official scorekeeper for the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) softball semifinals and finals. Henson has also been one of the official statisticians for the MHSAA volleyball semifinals and finals, football finals, and girls and boys basketball semifinals and finals. In his early years at Olivet, he also worked as the official scorer for the Battle Creek Yankees, a minor league baseball team, during the summer of 2003 and 2004.
