Professor Janine Peters teaches college algebra, courses in the calculus sequence, probability, statistics, advanced calculus, complex analysis and abstract algebra at Olivet College. She has received the Riethmeiller Award for excellence in teaching, the Donald A. Morris Award as the most influential professor of a top five graduate, and she was named a Livingston Professor, the highest honor presented to a professor at Olivet College.
Professor Peters earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Lawrence Technology University in Southfield and a master’s degree in mathematical statistics from Wayne State University (WSU). She also completed additional graduate studies beyond her master’s degree at WSU. While at WSU, she taught mathematics and received the Owen’s Award for excellence in teaching.
