Michael Weglarz is an associate professor of insurance and risk management at Olivet College. He is a business leader and sales and marketing specialist with more than 20 years of experience working in and developing marketing programs for the insurance, financial services and retail vertical markets.
Most recently, Professor Weglarz successfully operated a full-service Allstate Insurance agency located in the Metropolitan Detroit area. Aside from being a successful business owner, Professor Weglarz is also a pre-licensing instructor where he helps teach, guide and motivate adult learners to prepare and become licensed within the state of Michigan in life, health and accident insurance, as well as property and casualty insurance.
Professor Weglarz earned a Master of Arts in organizational management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts from Central Michigan University. He also has a multitude of certifications in sales and leadership to go along with his licenses in property and casualty, life, health and accident insurance within the state of Michigan and FINRA securities – series 6 and 63 license. He also holds the prestigious risk management credential Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation while also being a licensed real estate professional focusing on industrial, commercial and investment real estate.
Professor Weglarz has a passion for all sports, as well as a constant thirst for learning and self-improvement. He currently resides in the suburban metro Detroit area. He is married and is the proud father of two children.
