Michele McCauley has been a part of the Olivet College communications and marketing team since 2017 and is a member of the President’s Cabinet. Presently, she serves as executive director of communications and marketing. Previously, Michele was director of communications. In her current role, she leads a team of four and student employees and interns. She and her team collaborate with the Office of the President, Office of the Provost, admissions, advancement, alumni and other institutional partners on the development, implementation and assessment of marketing and brand strategies to position the college to constituents, the media and general public in a positive and progressive light. She is a member of the President’s Cabinet and graduate of the Olivet College Leadership Academy.
Before joining Olivet College, Michele served as director of communications and public relations for the Michigan Bankers Association and marketing manager for Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance. She spent nearly 13 years as director of communications for Sacred Heart Schools in Louisville, Kentucky, and three years as director of communications for St. Ursula Academy in Toledo, Ohio. She began her professional career as a legal assistant at one of Michigan’s largest law firms, specializing in telecommunications and environmental law, before moving to the Michigan Petroleum Association as director of membership and governmental services.
Michele earned a dual bachelor’s degree in communications and telecommunications and a master’s degree in telecommunications from Michigan State University.
