Robin Hinman serves as the assistant vice president for advancement at Olivet College. Robin holds 10+ years of experience in nonprofit and higher education fundraising as well as three years in the insurance industry. As assistant vice president for advancement, she leads the charge alongside her advancement team to build relationships and secure philanthropic support for Olivet College. Robin prides herself in creating partnerships within all areas of the college in order to best serve the donors of Olivet by providing them with opportunities to support their area(s) of passion and find fulfillment through their gifts of support.
Robin previously worked at Siena Heights University, where she held roles of increasing responsibility within the advancement department. While at Siena she met with alumni to secure major gifts including creating numerous new endowed scholarships, implemented new avenues to support athletics and the annual fund, as well as secured funding for programs and other areas of passion articulated by donors. Robin carried her love for Habitat for Humanity, where she worked for almost five years prior to Siena as their development director, by leading a service learning alternative spring break trip for Siena students annually since 2017 to Beaches Habitat in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Prior to Siena, Robin worked in the fraternal department at Gleaner Life Insurance as a liaison for their sales teams and arbors in 10 states to plan events and allocate funds for service projects.
Robin embraces the opportunity to be involved in her local community through service. She has served as a member of the Adrian Morning Rotary Club where she was recognized as Rotarian of the Year. She has also held board member and committee roles with Athena Lenawee, Zonta of Lenawee and the Adrian & Tecumseh Area Chamber of Commerce. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in business and psychology from Siena Heights University and an associate degree in graphic design and marketing from Baker College of Owosso.
