Will Hagerty joins the full time Olivet College faculty to serve as visiting assistant professor of psychology after holding the role of adjunct instructor for five years. He will continue to work closely with the Social Sciences Department faculty in developing curriculum and teaching his usual course load in the clinical field. Professor Hagerty is especially excited to become more involved in his role at Olivet College and continue to grow the Social Sciences Department.
Professor Hagerty has taught an array of courses, including statistics for the social sciences, counseling and psychotherapy, psychology of gender, as well as other psychology and sociology/anthropology courses. In his role as adjunct instructor, he also helped to establish a curriculum in alignment with a social work minor program. In addition, Professor Hagerty is a practicing counselor in Michigan in both private-practice and community mental health.
Professor Hagerty graduated from Olivet College in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He completed his master’s degree in counseling from Spring Arbor University and is also currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy in psychology at Capella University.
