Local Scene

The community beyond the college campus provides safe and convenient entertainment options to students above and beyond the regular activities of campus life.

Restaurants

The Lamplighter
A classic sports bar and restaurant within walking distance from all student housing. From burgers, salads, sandwiches and wraps to Mexican dishes and pizza, you can grab a bite from around the world or right at home from a diverse menu. In addition, the Lamplighter hosts special nights dedicated to OC students and several events in conjunction with the College throughout the year.

Tim’s Pizza
The name says it all. A local favorite, students and community members flock to the restaurant for breadsticks, grinders and ice cream, in addition to pizza, of course. Available to dine in or take out, students can order a fresh pie seven days a week. With daily lunch and dinner specials, Tim’s makes it possible to feed a family for less than a fortune — perfect for hungry students collaborating on class projects.
