Health Science Major
The health science major provides education in biology, chemistry and psychology.
Students may choose to enter into a pathway that leads to a bachelor of science in nursing by starting at Olivet College, followed by completion of Kellogg Community College’s (KCC) associates of applied science in nursing degree, and ending in the Olivet College part-time RN-BSN program. This pathway is mapped over five years. The last two years is designed as a blended model to allow students to work full-time.
Students may also choose to complete a bachelor of arts in health science and pursue an accelerated nursing program for students who hold a baccalaureate degree.
If you are interested in completing certification for a Certified Nursing Assistant Program, please consult your faculty advisor.
If you are interested in the health science program, you must demonstrate academic rigor by earning an overall grade point average of 3.5 or higher with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in all required major classes.
We encourage you to speak with a faculty representative during your on-campus visit for detailed information about your specific program interests.
Students interested in the pathway to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree should consult with the Director of Nursing Education.
