Some goals of an Initial Consultation may be: to plan for safety; to arrange to have ongoing individual counseling off-campus; to feel better, get a different perspective, or solve a problem; or learn a skill or technique to reduce distress.

These consultations are available

  • Thursdays, 1 – 4 p.m.

Counseling Services in the Community

Long-term and ongoing counseling services for students are currently available through Telehealth in the community. Some local options are listed below, but students can always contact the mental health provider of their choice. These community visits are not free. Mental health providers bill through a student’s health insurance, and every provider varies with which form of health insurance they accept. Call the number on your insurance card to verify coverage for mental health services. Students are responsible for all expenses associated with treatment.
