New Student Move-In Day Schedule

Friday, Aug. 17
8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.Move-In: Grab your bags and tote those boxes – it’s time to move in! Parking is available at the residence halls and in additional lots indicated here: view and save the campus map.
8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.Market in the Square: Need a break from moving in? Be sure to visit the Market in the Square, where local vendors, the OC bookstore and more will be on hand to welcome you to campus and with great merchandise for sale.
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.President’s Picnic Lunch: President Steven M. Corey, Ph.D., invites you and your family to join faculty and staff for a picnic lunch in the Square. New students will scan their college IDs for lunch. Parents and family members of new students, lunch is on us!
12:30 – 1 p.m.Transition Ceremony: Students are expected to attend. Parents and family, have your cameras ready! This is an extraordinary moment for you, your family and Olivet College. The next chapter in your life is now officially underway – congratulations!
2 – 4:30 p.m.Advance Learning Term (ALT) Kick-Off: New students who are registered for IDS 151 Self and Community expected to attend. Held in Mott Auditorium.
5 – 6 p.m.Dinner at the KC. The cost is $8.40 for students without the Olivet College meal plan. Global Citizen Honors Program students are invited to dine in the Oak Room in the KC.
7 – 8 p.m.Marching Comet Preview. Football field at Cutler Athletic Complex.
8:30 – 9 p.m.Residence Hall Welcome
9 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.Getting to Know You: Residence Life invites you to join in a number of activities to help you meet and bond with classmates.
9 – 10:30 p.m.“No Zebras”: All new students are expected to attend. A unique program to provide information and tips about how men and women can create positive relationships in a living-learning environment. Held in Mott Auditorium.
10:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.Casino and Karaoke Night: A DJ will be playing the tunes to keep the party going in the Kirk Center! All new students are invited.
